Stay Updated On Everything Going On This Spring At JH78

The Winter season created so many memories. Hundreds of students participated in Mid-Group Night Out in November, Christmas TNL in December, and Camp United in February. We also had fun at TNL and our Weekend services. On top of this, many students had the opportunity to provide Christmas for orphans in Mexico, serve at local elderly homes, and even throw an early Valentines party for adults with Down-syndrome and other mental disabilities.

With all of this said, we obviously have fun at JH78. Our goal, however, is really discipleship. We believe through our sermon series, small groups, worship, service projects, and loving community, students are growing and changing to look more like Jesus. This continues to be our goal entering the Spring!

Read the rest of this ministry update to stay in the know of what's coming up. Of course we still have TNL and our weekend services, but there is a whole lot more. Also, look out for another email this spring detailing what transition into the next grade will look like.

STARVING 2 SERVE

FUNDRAISING BEGINS:
                 FEBRUARY 10
EVENT:
MARCH 16-17

Don't let the picture fool you. We are going without food. Starving 2 Serve is our annual fundraiser where our students will eventually starve for 30 hours to raise awareness and money to end physical and spiritual starvation. For a month, students will collect sponsors to support their fast. The money raised will go to Outside the Bowl and Weekend of Service. Our goal is to raise $80,000!

Adventure Whitewater

Every year, we spend summer camp up at the Klamath River near the California and Oregon border with Adventure Whitewater jumping off rocks, white water rafting, swimming in the river, and sleeping and worshipping God underneath the stars. We load up in 15 passenger vans and take an adventure of a lifetime. Registration for the upcoming 8th Grade Trip (which is for current 7th graders) will begin in March and will cost $410. The dates are July 21-28.
