The Winter season created so many memories. Hundreds of students participated in Mid-Group Night Out in November, Christmas TNL in December, and Camp United in February. We also had fun at TNL and our Weekend services. On top of this, many students had the opportunity to provide Christmas for orphans in Mexico, serve at local elderly homes, and even throw an early Valentines party for adults with Down-syndrome and other mental disabilities.
With all of this said, we obviously have fun at JH78. Our goal, however, is really discipleship. We believe through our sermon series, small groups, worship, service projects, and loving community, students are growing and changing to look more like Jesus. This continues to be our goal entering the Spring!
Read the rest of this ministry update to stay in the know of what's coming up. Of course we still have TNL and our weekend services, but there is a whole lot more. Also, look out for another email this spring detailing what transition into the next grade will look like.
We will not have TNL this night because our small groups will be making memories together throughout North County San Diego. This may include a movie night, bowling, a bonfire, and much more. Find out from your small group leader where you will be meeting!
This Spring will be our second ever Mother-Daughter event called Hers. Our female staff has a heart to help nurture a healthy mother-daughter relationship. Come join for a night of laughter, bonding, food, and spiritual and relationship growth at North Coast. Cost is $20.
For many years now, JH78 has provided a camping trip in Joshua Tree for 8th grade guys and their dads. This short, but special trip includes rock climbing, repelling, guns, hiking, and much more. Click the button below to find out more. Cost will be $165 per father/son couple.
Visit our calendar to find out dates for every leadership meeting this Spring.
We provide a retreat in the mountains for our 8th grade leadership team to reward them for all their hard work this year in Salt. We stay at Sa Ha Le Lodge in Big Bear and will head into town to make some great memories. Cost is $85.
We also provide a local retreat to celebrate our 7th grade leadership team. This retreat also includes a service project at Temple Heights Elementary. After the service project, we will come party overnight at North Coast. Cost will be announced soon.
To close out Salt, we will have an awards ceremony in the Warehouse at North Coast. Parents are invited to enjoy come cookies and coffee as we honor each Salt student for their dedication to our ministry. Click the button below to find out how to RSVP.
