This week we started our brand new series all about the different stories that Jesus taught. Looking in Matthew 18, we saw what Jesus had to say about forgiveness and learned what that means in our own lives.
As we start off this new year, it is so important to get connected. Too often we don't plug into church, start hanging out with the wrong crowd and wind up doing things we know we shouldn't. In this talk, Kirk discusses the importance of being connected and some ways that we can do it.
There is so much pressure to do things we know we shouldn't, to act a certain way, just to fit in and be "cool." In this last talk for our 8th graders, Travis tells us how we already are cool just the way God made us and what steps we can take to stay that way through high school and beyond.
Special guest speaker Mike Hodson talks to us about the importance of connecting with others. That God made life not to be boring and strict but that we can live it to the fullest. Learn more about the heart of your High School Pastor by listening to what he has to share with us.
Continuing our study through the book of 1st John, Rob teaches us about loving one another, what real love looks like, and how that applies to friends, enemies, everyone in our lives.
Looking a little closer at a passage in 1 John Chapter 2, Alison digs into what it teaches us today, what it means to "love the world" and how we should do the will of God instead.
This week we started our new series looking at the Book of 1 John. Kirk explains what is means to walk in the light and how we can be more like Jesus.
Abigail was not only smart and beautiful but she knew how to handle conflict! She was able to overcome the rage of a mighty warrior bent on destruction because she ran towards conflict instead of away from it and doing so saved a lot of people's lives and saved David from giving in to his rage.
Learn the story of Esther, how she became queen and saved her people. Kirstie will also explore how our character can be like that of this great Queen and babe.
We are starting a new series all centered around different women in the Bible, how God used them and how we can apply it to our lives today. This week, Alison started off the series with the book of Ruth.
Easter is such an important time to remember what Jesus did for us. In this talk, Rob explains what Jesus did, the example He left and one way we can give back.
It is super important to take the opportunity the new year affords us to start off right. 2008 will be a great place to start anew- in this talk Kirstie looks at goal setting, why it is important and how we can get our goals off to a good start in 2008.
